Own Domain Soon + Giveaway! Giveaway!

I finally decided. it’s about time my blog go from a wordpress.com to my own domain! 🙂 Wuhoo! 🙂

I started my blog last Summer (July 2012) to write all my adventures about my new found passion – running. It’s only been 8 months and I am overwhelmed by how fast my blog has grown.

To all my readers, commenters, followers, friends, family and fellow bloggers, thank you all from the bottom of my heart. You guys are amazing. Thank you for supporting my little blogging adventure. Thank you for all the nice comments and messages. You are all so encouraging especially in times when I doubt myself. I appreciate everyone who stops by and visits my blog. I really do. When I’m out, some people even come up to me and say that my blog inspires them. Wow, I am humbled, truly humbled. Thank you all so much! ❤

I think it’s about time, too, to create an FB page link to my blog – so my FB friends who care less about running, healthy food choices, etc, are not bothered by my links and information  (haha). While I “wish” everyone would care more about being healthy and active, I know that’s not our world today. I would rather share and talk about all these to people who are into it and share same interests as mine. 🙂

I named my blog “Athlete in Me” – as it was the first thing that popped into my mind. I really did discover the “athlete in me” when I started running and joining races, so I went ahead and used it. I had no other ideas at the time. I knew I wanted to blog about my training to inspire others and keep me motivated.

AthleteInMe.com is already taken. It’s a very common phrase. Then I changed it “Athlete Within Ja” to kind of prepare myself for the change when I buy my domain. But this name I didn’t feel like it’s “me” anymore. If I had known my blog would eventually lead to this, I would have taken more time to think of a better and unique name.

Although I have already ideas in mind of a blog name, I want to expand my choices! I’m open to more ideas and suggestions.

I’d like to ask for your ideas, something creative, clever and “me” (see About Me page for ideas). I’m not opposed to a running-related name as long as it’s available for domain use.

And yes, you get a prize if I pick you! 🙂

So, let’s talk about what I’m giving away.

I’m giving away a box of goodies! 🙂

The only product I’ve tried among these is the aero shot. I’ve tried it before when we went snowboarding and they certainly do work. It kept me energized for long hours on the slopes. 🙂

My thoughts: I think it’s a great concept. The convenience of trying one sample before committing to the full size version in specialty stores is worth it!

Everything in this box (well, except for my greeting card) will be yours if I pick you. 🙂

Congratulations to your success with your blog. I think you should use Athlete in Ja and athleteinja.com is available. Also a quick Google search did not really brought up websites with similar names and topics. Have fun with choosing your domain name! 🙂

    1. Ja @Athlete Within Ja

Thanks! Athlete in Ja is in my list too. :)) I have a few to choose from. It’s hard to decide. 🙂 But, I can’t wait to have my own domain!

Thanks again! Goodluck training for the Chicago Marathon! That is awesome! 🙂

  7. Nicole @ Fruit 'N' Fitness

I am not creative at all, my mom actually thought of the idea for my name as I love fruit and have recently discovered I love fitness and all the peanut butter names I could think of were taken. I think you should think of something that describes you and what your blog focuses on. Ja’s athletic adventures would be my idea i think

    1. Ja @Athlete Within Ja

      Thanks for your suggestion, Nicole.

Yup, definitely something that describes what I love to do. One of the blog names in my list is “Board Runner” – since I am a Snowboarder and a Runner. Another one is “Ja On The Run” – since I am always on the go for new adventures in food and other stuff.

      Thanks again for advice. 🙂

Having your own domain name sounds like a lot of fun. I used to have one a long time ago when I spent a lot of time on the computer. How about Jathlete.com, which is Ja + Athlete.

    1. Ja @Athlete Within Ja

I am actually excited to make one and use my own domain. 🙂
What happened to your domain now? Are you planning on getting your own domain again soon?

Thanks for the suggestion! 🙂 That’s pretty cool!

      1. Kidd

I used to make anime/manga graphic design when I was in high school. I used to make my own webpapes because I was really into coding like html, php, etc…I might get another domain, but not anytime soon. The main reason I stopped graphic design was because I grew up. Being an adult is busy.

        1. Ja @Athlete Within Ja

What you were doing sounds pretty cool! Yup it gets busy when you grow older that’s true. But I hope you get to do that again. Seems like it’s something you enjoyed doing. You know when they say, -you may grow old, but the heart stays young. :))

  10. Molly

I love when company’s include hand-written cards like that! 🙂 And I agree with you – I think being able to try a sample without having to buy a whole package of something (and potentially not liking it) is a HUGE plus for me.
