T-Minus 1 Day ’til MUDRUN!

I was planning on taking it easy on my run today because my mudrun race is on Saturday. Yep, 1 more day to go!

I don’t know what happened but I ran 3.1 miles in 30:18 mins…

and it felt good …AND EASY! 🙂

This used to be my goal when I was doing my interval training. I feel proud of myself that I can finally achieve this with my improved comfortable pace. I worked hard on my interval training and it finally paid off. There’s no way I am stopping what I’m doing. I will definitely keep going to get better.

I can now relate to this quote. 🙂

I regularly check updates for our Mudrun on Saturday. I saw in one of their pictures that they’re having monkey bars as part of the obstacle course. So, a few days ago, I went to the park to try the monkey bars.

This was my attempt on the monkey bars…

I failed by the way. Haha. I have weak upper body strength.

O well, I’ll just have to figure it out on Saturday.

Tomorrow will just be rest day for me. I need to prepare myself for next day’s Mudrun! It’s going to be fun! I’m excited!

I will definitely update you guys. Wish me luck. I’m going to need it, -especially on the monkey bars, LOL! 🙂

C’mon, it was a good attempt! I mean, I can’t even hang on them for some time…
hahaha just kidding, by no means that’s a nice comparison. Anyway, good luck on the mud run! I will be looking for your blog post.

Hey, just started following you since you followed me. Good luck with the mud run, I have never done one of those but from what I hear, it’s more about strength and endurance than actual running distance because it’s all broken up with obstacles. So you should be fine, especially if you can do the monkey bars! Enjoy your rest day too!

I enjoy reading your blog. Wow, you’ve done so many races. I just started running and training this year (April) and meeting new people like you here in wordpress inspires me to keep going.

Thank you! They said to just have fun. Some people will be competitive, some are just there to enjoy – and that’s what I’m going to do. 🙂 I have no problem with running 5k. I just hope I’ll get through the obstacles. Yes, that’s true. It does require a lot of upper body strength coz of all the climbing and swinging which I know I’m lacking. We’ll see! 🙂 LOL!

      Thanks! Happy Running! 🙂

Aww, glad you like the blog! Yeah I like to race. I can’t race quite as much this season because we booked a cruise, but I’m still doing a few :). A lot of my friends do mud runs and it’s more about completing than competing, if you’ve never done one then it’s like a guaranteed PR anyway so don’t stress over it! Good luck!

That’s true! As long as I finish. That’s what really matters. 🙂

Thanks again & have fun with the cruise! That’s going to be awesome! 🙂
